What are Nepali people like?

Nepalese are friendly and hospitable by nature. Travelers count Nepalese among the best friends in the world. Nepalese respect Guests as God. And there is a popular phrase every Nepali knows, it says : "Guest equals God". When you visit a Nepali home, you are offered a cup of tea, you are asked in kind words, "Have you had your tea? or meal?" Offering whatever one has to a guest is considered a moral duty and is taken seriously by Nepalese. Meet and talk with Nepalese. Have a genuine interest in them. Nepalese wear a smile and a rich, traditional social values where love and affection comes before anything else. Nepal is a village of Ethnic groups. Nepal's many ethnic groups are as varied as its land with their own languages and cultures; Newars, Sherpas, Chhetris, Tamangs, Rais, Limbus, Magars, Gurungs, Maithili, Bhojpuri and Tharu are just a few of these ethic groups each of them have a different language, culture, customs and traditions yet they live in a perfect harmony.
